Chester "Chet" Crane, 68, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, February 8,
2023. Born on March 9, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late James
and Dorothy Crane.
Chet explored many professions in his life. He was a Harness Race Driver and a
Blacksmith. Chet served as a Police Officer in Accomack County, VA. He also was
a Crabber based out of Greenbackville, VA. Chet worked as a Machinist for K&L
Microwave of Salisbury, MD until his retirement. In his free time, Chet was a
collector. He loved bargain hunting. Chet had a keen interest in Ham Radios.
Chet is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen Crane; Sister, Donna
Fitzgerald and her husband R.L. of Salisbury, MD; Brother, Dennis Crane of San
Clemente, CA: Niece, Misti Kekevian; Great-niece, Isabella Kekevian; Great
Nephew, Beau Correa of Phoenix, AZ; Three Sisters-in-law, Cheryl Davis and her
husband Phil of Hebron, MD, Cindy Mitchell and her husband George of Salisbury,
MD, and Dawn Bennett and her husband Jerry of Sharptown, MD; Two
Brothers-in-law, Scott Lamond of Moscow Mills, MD, and Craig Lamond of Delmar,
DE; Nieces and Nephews, Lynn Davis, Kyle Bennett, Brooke & Chris Keene, Chun
Kyle, & Brian Mitchell, Kirk Jensen, Melissa Erickson, and Chad & Eric Lamond;
as well as several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chet was preceded in death by his Sister, Beverly
Crane.
Chet will be remembered as having a good heart and soul. He loved his wife; she
was his whole world. Chet was always ready to help his family and friends in
their time of need. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
